Why I love photography!?

One of the reasons why I love photography is that it is my way to express myself. As a Muslim woman, I am used to being seen differently because of my belief, because of the way I dress, because of the way I live my life in general. I am used to being talked about and described in a different kind of way, to be portrayed differently and to know exactly that this way I'm presented by others isn't me, isn’t the people who look like me, and could never be a depiction of my reality. This forces me to work on changing this situation, to do everything I can so I don't get crazy. And even if those people who create this image of you try to convince the whole world that this is you, this is how you look like, this is what you are, and they may convince you well enough that even you start believing it, remember: this is not you. You are what you define yourself to be. Start painting your own image of yourself, start showing your own world, start talking about your own reality, start telling your own story.
